CBI launches Growing Business Awards 2005

The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) is searching for the UK's most successful entrepreneurs, with the launch of the Growing Business Awards 2005.

Sir Digby Jones, CBI director-general, said, 'There are so many fantastic companies out there, developing as they create wealth and jobs for the country, but few ever get the public recognition they deserve'.

The CBI chief urged businesses with a good success story to apply.

The annual awards are free to enter, and are open to all businesses which are independently owned, employ less than 500 people, and are based in the UK.

There are 10 awards in total, including the esteemed 'Entrepreneur of the Year' and 'Company of the Year' awards.

The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner to be held at the London Hilton on 30 November.

The closing date for entries is 21 September. For further information, visit the Growing Business Awards website.
