As the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) join forces to address pressing labour market challenges in the Greater Manchester region, more contractors will be needed in the interim.
With GMCC and the REC agreeing to collaborate on business, the professional employment provider advises that businesses in the area should not forget the value of this temporary resource in the development of the workforce.
UK businesses have much to gain from highly skilled contractors and other flexible workers. They are more cost effective than employing permanent workers, who will cost businesses holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions, maternity pay and training.
Contractors also provide companies with flexibility, someone who will be specialised in their field and focused and motivated to get the job complete.
