Following the previous success of two Women’s Freelance Network events, contractors might be interested to hear that three new events have been announced to take place.
Created by the Professional Contractors Group (PCG), the Women’s Freelance Network (WFN) aims to bring together independent female professionals from a range of sectors to meet, network and collaborate with other business minded individuals.
With the last two London events deemed a resounding success, new dates have been added and will take place in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, with well-known female MP guest speakers discussing the rise of self-employed women.
Julie Stewart, Chairman of PCG, said, “The WFN events in London have been a huge success with hundreds of women coming together to give and receive advice, collaborate on a project or simply to meet like-minded individuals and share their experiences.
“Now it is time to build our network across the country and give women who have started a business outside London the same opportunity. With events in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, we will create a strong support network along the spine of the UK which will mean that working independently no longer has to mean being alone.”
Julie added, “It’s fantastic that prominent MPs like Sharon Hodgson will be joining us to speak about how women are leading the way in self-employment and discuss how policy makers and business leaders could help female independent professionals.
“There will be lots of inspiring female self-employed professionals joining us at these events and it’s great that they will be joined by equally inspiring female politicians. Both are passionate about what they do and have reached the top of their game through hard work, dedication and skill so I’m confident everyone will come away from these events feeling energised and with expert advice in hand.”
